Yuma Police Search For Suspect In Two Armed Robberies

An area motel was held up, the second time this year.  The Yuma Police Department says a man walked into the lobby of the Ramada Inn at 300 East 32nd Street Sunday morning.

The suspect in the latest robbery is described as a short Hispanic male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, camouflaged shorts, black shoes and a black bandana covering his face.

The suspect displayed a firearm and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Meanwhile, another armed robbery occurred about 15 minutes later at a nearby Chevron gas station at the corner of Avenue ‘B’ and 16th Street.  The gas station employees described the suspect as similar to the one who held up the motel earlier.

Anyone with information is asked to please call the Yuma Police Department at 928-373-4700 or 78-CRIME.
