Yuma Police On The Lookout For Suspects In Apartment Shooting


The Yuma Police Department says a shooting at an area apartment complex is under investigation. Police say the shooting took place Saturday, August 10th in the morning at the El Encanto Apartments on South Eighth Avenue. Officers discovered a 30 year old male shot in the south parking lot of the apartment complex. Investigators received information about a verbal argument between two groups of people that started at the Mineshaft Bar and Grill on South Fourth Avenue. The suspects followed the other people involved in the argument to the apartment complex.  The argument continued and one of the suspects fired multiple rounds. The suspects left in a dark colored Chevrolet Malibu in an unknown direction. The suspects were described as four Indian or Hispanic males possibly in their 20’s.
