Yuma Police Make Arrest After Shots Fired Monday Night

Victor-MedinaThe Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating a report of a shooting occurring Monday night.  Police say there are multiple reports of shots fired in the area of the 11000 block of South Avenue 9E. 

Witnesses identified a vehicle that was later stopped by police.  Two persons were in the vehicle and two weapons were located.  Police found three spent casings. 

The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Victor Medina, was arrested on charges on being a prohibited possessor.  The driver was interviewed and released.  Police continue investigating the incident.
