Yuma Police Investigate Attempted Sexual Assault

Yuma-PoliceThe Yuma Police Department is investigating a case of attempted sexual assault.  The incident occurred Thursday night. 

Police responded to a business in the 1800 block of West 25th Street.  Upon arrival, they located the victim and she told them that she went to a storage shed to get supplies.  She was grabbed from behind by a male subject and forced back inside her place of employment. 

The male then began to remove her clothing.  The victim yelled for help and another person approached and caused the subject to flee the scene in an unknown direction of travel.  It is unknown if he fled in a vehicle or on foot. 

He was described as a Hispanic male, from 5’8” to 6’ tall, in his 30’s.  He was wearing dark clothing and he was described as “well dressed”.
