The Yuma Police Department will introduce their newly acquired Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Pro Armored vehicle Thursday. The unveiling will take place at the Yuma Police Department parking lot. The vehicle is ready to enter police service and was acquired by the City of Yuma Police Department through the Ten-33 military program. The program allows approved law enforcement agencies to access military equipment for law enforcement operations. The armored vehicle will be utilized in conjunction with the Special Enforcement Team and high risk calls. The vehicle will be on public display at the Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhood event on Saturday from 5pm to 8pm in the Target parking lot at the Yuma Palms Parkway.
