The Yuma Police Department says a man who barricaded himself in a residence on South Eleventh Avenue on Wednesday has now been charged.
37-year-old Jacson Williams was arrested following an over three-hour standoff. Williams later came out of his apartment and was promptly arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault per domestic violence, Kidnapping per domestic violence and Sexual Assault per domestic violence.
Williams’ bond was set at $500,000. An advocate for Williams’ girlfriend Thursday begged the court to keep Williams behind bars.
