The groundbreaking on the new Yuma Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Center was held on Friday. The new 38,000 square foot facility is a part of the Yuma Regional Medical Center's Dream Big initiative.
The CEO of Yuma Regional Medical Center Patrick Walz says it is important this area get such a facility.
The plans for the new center was all made possible by Richard Michael McDaniel who passed away last year from cancer. In the last few years of his life, he established the McDaniel endowment fund, and he donated enough to not only build the center but to keep it running for several years.
