West Nile Virus Found In Yuma County

MosquitoThe West Nile Virus has been found in Yuma County.  The Yuma Sun this weekend reported that four samples this month have tested positive.

The locations where the tests have come from include area swimming pools and along the Colorado River in the East Wetlands area.  West Nile Virus has been in the area since 2003.

The best way to ensure not catching the disease is to make sure standing water is eliminated from your residence, wear insect repellent if outside during the evening or early morning hours and wear lightweight clothing that covers your arms and legs.
