Two People Appear In Court Accused Of Robbery

Two persons appeared in court on Monday. The pair are accused of the alleged robbery of the Chevron Convenience Store on West Eighth Street on Thursday. Our television partner KYMATV says prosecutors charged 25-year-old Joshua Edward Amador, and 22-year-old Dennis Jasper Valenzuela. In court, Valenzuela asked for a public defender, admitting he has never had a job in his life. Police say a clerk at the food mart says a man threatened him, adding he had two friends outside who would physically hurt him. Officials say the robber took off with cash. The state charged both with one count of aggravated robbery. Both will be back in court later this week for their preliminary hearings.
