Tucson On Path To Beak Record For Consecutive Days Of Triple Digit Heat

Hot-Weather-HeatTucson is close to breaking the record for the most consecutive days of triple digit heat.  The current record for the number of days on which the high temperature has reached 100 degrees or hotter stands at 39.  It was set back in 2005.

Forecasts are calling for triple digits through next Wednesday, which would mark 40 straight days of high temperatures of at least 100 degrees.  Tucson has heated up to 100 degrees or hotter for 34 straight days as of Thursday.

Every day in June, Tucson saw triple digits.  The month ended up being the hottest June on record for the city.
