Truck Driver Responsible For Crashing Into DPS Officer Makes Court Appearance

Jorge-EspinozaA commercial truck driver accused of killing a public safety officer appeared in court on Saturday. 

33-year-old Jorge Espinoza was arrested the day before and faces multiple charges in the crash that killed DPS Officer Tim Huffman – including one count of reckless manslaughter, 13 counts of endangerment, and seven counts of criminal damage and defacing property. 

Director Robert Halliday says DPS is one big family, and everyone feels the loss.

Espinoza's bail is set at $200,000.  He is expected in court Tuesday.  A judge will decide if he will be formally charged.
