Time Warner Cable Moves Some Analog Channels Into Digital Lineup

The City of Yuma’s government cable television channels may be in a different place for some Time Warner Cable customers.

Time Warner has moved a number of analog channels into their digital lineup. All Public, Education and Government channels fall into this category, including the City’s channels, 72 and 73. The effect of this change means that channel 73 may not appear on some television sets, or may only appear on a different channel number on others. Time Warner notified their customers directly of this change and notes that a majority of them have already participated in previous digital conversions. Most customers, includes all of those with a set top box, will still see City 73 on channel 73. However, those who have not subscribed to digital services will need digital equipment. Those customers should contact Time Warner to request a digital set top box and remote control, which Time Warner has offered to customers at no cost until December 31st, 2014.
