Thousands Of Arizona Election Ballots Rejected

Vote-checkboxTens of thousands of ballots cast in Arizona’s 2012 election were rejected by election officials, indicating continued communication and voter education problems in Arizona.

Nearly 46,000 ballots cast in 2012 were rejected.  The number is down about two-percent from the 2008 election, when Arizona led the nation in rejected provisional ballots.

Election experts say the rejection can be due to several reasons – including poor voter education or inefficiencies in Arizona’s election administration efforts.
