Acting on a tip, agents from the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force conducted surveillance on an individual suspected of selling methamphetamine on Tuesday. Agents confirmed that there was activity consistent with the sale of drugs and conducted a vehicle stop on the subject as he left the area.
The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 31-grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of over $3,000. Over $1,100 in U.S. currency suspected to be the proceeds from drug sales was found as well.
42-year-old Ramon Altamirano of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
