Red Cross Provides Assistance After Family Home Burns

Red-CrossA fire damaged a home in the southern part of Yuma on Wednesday.  Officials say the fire was at a residence near Somerton Avenue and County 12th Street. 

Firefighters from Rural/Metro and the Somerton Cocopah Fire Department responded. 

The American Red Cross has provided assistance to the family. 

No one was injured and two dogs and a large turtle were rescued by firefighters.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
