A rebuilding effort is underway following a devastating fire in northern Arizona that killed 19 firefighters and destroyed more than 100 homes. A groundbreaking ceremony and barbecue were held on Saturday to mark the milestone for Yarnell residents. The first home to be rebuilt will belong to Roy and Stacy Pizzirusso. The couple has one of two building permits issued so far for the Yarnell area, and Yavapai County officials say more are in the works. The Pizzirussos are the first to build since they saved the floor plans to their home, which was among those leveled by the fire.
