Police Searching For Owner Of Two Wild Horses

The owner of two horses that have been contained by police are still being sought. The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says the horse were caught on January 20th in the area of Avenue 43E and County Eighth Street. One of the horses was identified with a branding mark and is a Bureau of Land Management Mustang. The other Mustang does not have any such markings. Both are currently under the care of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office. The freeze-branded Mustang is under the jurisdiction of the BLM.  If unclaimed, the non-branded Mustang will be turned over to an Arizona State Livestock Officer on Friday.
Anyone with information about the non-branded Mustang is asked to contact police.
