Phoenix Man Sentenced To 25 Years For Drug Trafficking

A Phoenix man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison in a drug trafficking case. Federal prosecutors say 53 year old Ralph C. Moreno also was sentenced Monday, December, 16 to ten years of supervised release and fined $3,000. A federal jury in September found Moreno guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm.
 
Investigators say Moreno sold meth out of his Phoenix home to people associated with a prison based gang in 2010. A search warrant was issued at Moreno's home and authorities say they found two firearms and more than $75,000 in drug money. Prosecutors say Moreno had two prior state felony convictions for drug trafficking.
