One Person Dead After Car Accident On Friday

One person is dead following an accident that tied up area streets for several hours on Friday. The Yuma Police Department says 65-year-old Wayne Helms of Washington was traveling westbound in the 1900 block of West 16th Street; when he slowed down to turn right onto Gate Way. Prior to turning he was rear ended by a Silver Chrysler passenger car driven by 18-year-old Rooslin Gomez of Yuma.
