Number Of Flu Related Deaths In Yuma County Increases To Three

The number of influenza deaths in Yuma County has now increased to three – the latest victim an infant. The other two unidentified victims were adults. Registered Nurse April Parsons of Yuma Regional Medical Center says they have seen an increase in influenza cases.
Doctors are urging the community to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others. Flu season does not peak until the end of February. Medical professionals are telling people to wash their hands, cover their mouths, stay home if you are sick, and most importantly get a flu shot.
