Nonprofit Raises Awareness On Online Safety

As the age of children with technology trends to younger and younger, it is said that privacy, bullying protection and online safety should be taught along with the ABCs and 123s. Ben Halpert is the founder of the nonprofit SavvyCyberKids.org. He says most safety education is focused on elementary to high school students, but it needs to start sooner because children these days start interacting with technology as toddlers.

Halpert says there is an opportunity to raise a generation to understand online safety, security, ethics and appropriate responses to bullying. October is Cyber Security Awareness Month.
