Man Gets Electrocuted While Trying To Steal Copper

More information has come to light about a man who was electrocuted after touching a 69,000 volt power line. The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says 34 year old Joshua Hess of Wellton was attempting to steal copper wiring off of a wooden utility pole Tuesday, when he accidently touched the power line. Alfonso Zavalia of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has more.

Hess survived the shock and was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  This is not the first brush with the law Hess has had.  He has reportedly been booked multiple times on theft and burglary charges.
