Jaws Of Life Used To Free Passenger After Rollover Accident In San Luis

caraccidentSan Luis Police Officers responded to an accident Friday morning a mile north of Tenth Avenue near Juan Sanchez Boulevard.

When officers arrived they found a 2001 Chevrolet pick-up upside down and one of the passengers trapped inside.  The driver and three other occupants were outside the truck – one of those lying on the ground and unable to move.

The jaws of life were used to remove the trapped person with all five persons transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center.  Two of the occupants, who are in critical condition, were later flown to hospitals in Phoenix.

The names of those involved are not being released at this time.  The case is under investigation; alcohol appears to have been a factor in this incident.
