Police say the high speed chase exceeded speeds of 100-miles-per-hour, before the car crashed into another vehicle at the corner of Avenue “B” and 24th Street. The people in that vehicle were not injured.
Rivera and another female passenger were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for treatment of injures.
Rivera was then booked in the Yuma County Detention Center on charges of kidnapping, endangerment and unlawful flight.
Rivera appeared before a judge on Sunday with bond set at $165,000.
