Health Care Plan Costs

Arizonans looking to buy health insurance on federally run marketplaces opening October 1st, now have an idea what a plan will cost. The two lowest cost "silver" plans that pay for 70% of medical costs under the Affordable Care Act cost $248 and $252 per month before tax credits. The cheapest bronze plan that covers 60% of costs is $214 a month. The premiums and plan choices for Arizona were released by the Obama Administration late Tuesday. A list of insurers and a breakdown of premium levels by age was not included. The agency did break out costs for a 27 year old person. The lowest priced bronze plan costs $141 a month, silver $164 and a gold plan that pays 80% of costs will be priced at $187 a month.
