Great Outdoors Enhance Creativity, Problem Solving Skills

Rock-ClimbingA recent study finds that some time in the great outdoors can improve a person's creativity and problem-solving ability.

Professor David Strayer with the University of Utah says those tested after four days immersed in nature with Outward Bound did dramatically better than people who took similar tests before heading out.

The average American child spends more than seven hours in front of a television or computer screen each day, says Strayer, but only 15 to 25 minutes playing outside.
