Business owners may be violating a Yuma city sign code with feather signs. The sign code was put in place years before the feather signs starting popping up around the city, according to city officials. There is nothing in the current code that allows these kinds of signs. For city code enforcers, public safety is a big concern. The City of Yuma Public Affairs Coordinator Dave Nash says the city is looking into the code.
Nash adds the city is working on a possible amendment to the code with specific guidelines for feather signs.
