Driver Arrested For Ramming Car Into Police

The Yuma Police Department assisted the California Highway Patrol who requested assistance with a subject who failed to stop for a traffic violation on Monday, August 12 at night.  Police say CHP authorities stopped the driver of the vehicle after a traffic violation. However, 32 year old Halima Ahmed used her 2001 Isuzu Rodeo to strike one of the CHP vehicles.  She was not cooperative and refused arrest. She eventually was subdued and was transported to the Yuma County Detention Center.  Ahmed was booked for Aggravated Assault, Endangerment, Unlawful Flight, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Damage, Disorderly Conduct and Refusing to Provide Truthful Name.
