County Approves Purchase And Renovation Of Historic Building On Main Street

Yuma-CountyThe Yuma County Board of Supervisors approved to move ahead in purchasing a building on Main Street for expansion needs.

The board on Monday heard about the vacant 50,000 square-foot building across the street from the county’s administrative building.  The cost to renovate the building is estimated at over $5 million.

The Yuma Sun says the renovation is expected to help overcrowding in the Adult Probation Office, which has also housed the office of assessor, recorder and treasurer.
