NewsTalk 560 KBLU has just learned from the Yuma Prosecutor's Office that Arizona State Senator Don Shooter has been charged in connection with a March 24th incident at his grandson's charter school. Shooter went to the school that morning, upset with the way his grandson was being handled at the school and wanted to speak with teachers at the Educational Opportunity Center Campus on 16th Street.
The Yuma City Prosecutor's Office says three charges have been filed against the Senator, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct and Interference with or Disruption of an Educational Institution. All three charges are Misdemeanors. An arraignment date has yet to be set.
