95 Closed Due To Flooding

Officials from the Yuma Proving Ground say Highway 95 is closed due to the Fortuna wash area being flooded. Traffic is being stopped and are asked to turn around due to dangerous conditions. Drug Bust At Wellton Checkpoint

United States Border Patrol agents busted two men on Tuesday  after they were discovered in the possession of Heroin.   Officials say the incident occurred at the I-8 checkpoint near Wellton. Dogs alerted officers to a bus going through the checkpoint and agents discovered the drugs with a value of over $150,000. Read More »

Two School Districts Receive Grants

Two school districts on the Navajo Nation will receive nearly $7 million to repair and upgrade schools under a federal grant program. Yuma voters said yes to Mayor Elect Douglas Nicholls on Tuesday. Nicholls took the race by over a two-to-one vote. He garnered 4496 votes. His opponents, Raul Mendoza had 1911 votes and write in candidate Jack Kretzer had 75 votes.
