Close To 450 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Prieta Cabeza National Wildlife Refuge

Yuma PD Investigates Tuesday Morning Shooting Death

The Yuma Police Department says one person is dead following a shooting in the 100 block of South Tenth Avenue Tuesday morning.  Police say 28-year-old Jennifer Silva was found with a gunshot wound.  She was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.  Police continue to investigate and no suspects are in custody. Police Look Into Reports Of Shots Fired

Yuma Police say they are looking into a report of gunfire at an apartment complex early this morning shortly before 4am.  Police say multiple rounds were fired at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of South First Avenue.  A window and two nearby vehicles were damaged in the incident.  No injuries were reported and police continue to investigate. Fire Destroys Mobile Home

A mobile home was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning.  The incident occurred near the corner of May Avenue and Fifth Street.  Evidence at the scene leads investigators to believe the fire was intentionally set.  The Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter has responded to help with the needs of the displaced family, which includes one adult and two children. Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested After Narcotics Search
