Border Patrol Makes Drug Bust Along Smuggling Route In Cabeza Prieta

Border-Patrol-PatchUnited States Border Patrol agents from the Yuma Sector arrested four drug smugglers and seized 175 pounds of marijuana Monday worth over $87,000. 

Agents using night-vision equipment tracked the individuals walking through the desert southwest of Gila Bend.  The four Mexican nationals had followed a known drug smuggling route through the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge. 

The case was turned over to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
