Border Patrol Arrests Drug Smugglers Near Calexico

Three drug smugglers were arrested by border patrol agents near Calexico.  Officials say they observed five men enter the United States illegally Sunday night and make their way toward Interstate-Eight. 

Bundles were observed on four of the men.  Two men entered a car and the other three began running back to Mexico. 

Officials were able to apprehend the men and arrest the driver, who was a United States citizen.  Officials say the bundles of marijuana had an estimated street value of over $147,000.
