Border Patrol Arrests Deported Sex Offender

US-Border-PatrolA Mexican national previously convicted of an aggravated felony was arrested by United States Border Patrol agents from the Yuma Sector early Tuesday. 

After agents apprehended three men in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge near Lukeville, a records check revealed one of the men – Jose Gomez-Dominguez – is an aggravated felon with an extensive criminal history involving possession of cocaine and driving under the influence in Virginia, and child molestation in Georgia. 

Gomez-Dominguez was sentenced to five years in prison and previously deported to Mexico in 2011.  He now faces prosecution by the United States Attorney’s Office.
