Board Of Supervisors Move Closer To Purchase Of Main Street Building

Yuma-CountyThe Yuma County Board of Supervisors met on Monday and moved closer to obtaining a building they need in order to expand their office space.  The board is attempting to secure a $7.5 million loan to renovate a 50,000 square-foot building at 197 South Main Street.

The Yuma Sun reports that one person made public comments against the purchase of the building.  Jack Kretzer believes there are other and less expensive ways to find the space needed by the county.

The county expects the total cost of the project is $10.5 million.
