17 Pounds Of Meth Found In Abandoned Vehicle Off Hwy 95


The Yuma County Sheriff's Office seized about 17 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of more than $150,000.  Deputies were investigating a suspicious abandoned vehicle in the area of Highway 95 and First Avenue in Gadsden, when a search of the vehicle resulted in the findings. Pedestrian Injured In Hit And Run Accident

Autopsy Performed On Baby Found In Summerton Recycling Plant


An autopsy shows that a baby whose body was found at a recycling plant in Somerton most likely had not taken a breath outside the womb before he died.  The Yuma Sun reports that the autopsy concluded the cause of death remained undetermined. Border Patrol Agents Arrest Smugglers In Cabeza Prieta


United States Border Patrol agents from the Yuma Sector arrested seven drug smugglers and seized 269 pounds of marijuana Wednesday.   The drugs have an estimated street value of over $134,000.  Agents discovered footprints crossing the Camino Del Diablo road about two miles east of Papago Well.  Agents were able to apprehend seven Mexican nationals backpacking the narcotics.  The group was ...
