Geocachers Hope To Increase Interest In Their Hobby This Weekend

New Deputy Superintendent Hired For Grand Canyon National Park

Two Suspects In Recent Burglaries Arrested


The Yuma Police Department says they have made arrests in cases involving several vehicle burglaries. 20-year-old Kenny Perez and 16-year-old Christian Gomez were arrested after police searched their residences and found a stolen firearm, a stolen shotgun and several other items which were reported missing in the last several weeks.  Police believe the pair is responsible for the rash of ... Prescott Man Convicted In Home Invasion And Sexual Assault


A Prescott man who broke into his next-door neighbor's house and raped her last March has been sentenced to more than 31 years in prison.  Police identified 38-year-old James Elliot Vinson after viewing surveillance tapes from another neighbor's home and from a grocery store minutes after the attack.  DNA evidence and Vinson's palm print on the victim's windowsill also linked ... United Blood Services To Hold Valentine’s Day Luncheon


United Blood Services will hold a luncheon celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday at the Yuma Golf and Country Club.   Yuma area donors have provided blood services to 7,000 persons.  Last year, 26 organizations hosted 54 blood drives in Yuma County.  The luncheon will begin 11:30am.  Yuma Mayor Alan Krieger is the keynote speaker. Brewer Declares An Emergency After Frozen Pipes Cause Water Shortage
