Gasoline prices at the pump around Arizona are much higher this week. Officials with AAA Arizona say that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is at $3.55 a gallon. That is up by ten-cents from last week.
This week's national average is at $3.66 per gallon, an increase of more than 15-cents from last week. Analysts say the rise is due to elevated crude oil costs.
Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.38 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest at $3.72.
South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.33 a gallon with California having the highest at $4.03 a gallon.
