Arizona Corporation Comission Holds Emergency Meeting Over Dispute With Local Water Company

A recent disruption of water service to some customers of the Green Acres Water Company caused the Arizona Corporation Commission to hold an emergency meeting this week. The Yuma Sun is reporting the meeting was called on Tuesday after they became aware that the owner of wells in the Green Acres area had shut off the power to those wells. The Green Acres Water Company owner says he disagrees with ACC’s assessment of the water situation. Todd Brandenberger told the Sun that the customers still have water, but the power that is in his name was shut off. He says those customers are in the process of installing new wells on their own property.
